Thai illustrated books

Thai illustrated books, called samut khoi, are often made with concertina-like folds using white mulberry paper (khoi, from which samut khoi are made). The earliest surviving examples of folding books date from the 16th and 17th centuries but a greater number belongs to the mid-18th up to the late 19th century.
