The Jizhou kilns
The Jizhou kilns are to southern China, what the Cizhou kilns were to northern China, during the Northern Song period. Both groups of kilns were essentially rustic, with an emphasis on original glaze and decoration. The wave decoration, inspired on painting tradition, is later seen on blue and white porcelain of 14th and 15th century.
