Buddhist inspired ceramics

Vietnamese ceramics received a major impetus with the advent of the Ly dynasty (1009–1225). The Ly kings promoted Buddhism, building large numbers of pagodas. In both architecture and ceramics, the lotus petal motif associated with Buddhism was widely adopted, and their glazed white stoneware show great finesse and purity of line.
